To honor NAIDOC week WINDMILL BABY will be performed as a free event in Forrest Place, July 3.
This powerful performance is based on an older Aboriginal women returning to the deserted Kimberley cattle state that was her home 50 years ago. An intimate campfire storytelling experience is the result.
WINDMILL BABY won the prestigious Patrick White award for playwrite in 2003.

The Duel is based on chapter six from the novel Brothers Karamazov and adapted by highly regarded Australian writer Tom Wright.
The story explores Zosima’s debauched life and the extreme, dark events which unfolded the night before his final duel. Directed by the talented Mattew Lutton and features Luke Mullins, Brian Lipson, David Lee Smith and Renee McIntosh.

It’s alarming to know that nearly one in three Australian women experience physical violence and one in five women experience sexual violence over a lifetime. Added to this staggering statistic there is limited support and services for people affected by domestic violence in Australia.
Since 2007 the Global Good Foundation has been helping women and families affected by domestic violence. Some of their key aims is to focus on educating both children and women on violence.
On Saturday, 22nd August the GGF with host the inaugural White Butterfly Gala Event at the Perth Convention Centre. This event will be in aid of their first Education Centre in WA, which will provide people with a 90+ day program for important recovery and rehabilitation purposes.
On the night you will enjoy entertainment, fine dining and be joined by local media personalities, as well as the honourable Lord Mayor of Perth. Also on the night you will be the first to view the Greater Good
Foundation Education Centre Design, designed by the team at HASSEL Architects.
Tickets are available for $195 +GST online and 100% of all proceeds on the night go directly to the GGF.
