Flannel - Simple design

I came across Flannel, an exquisite shop in Cottesloe, whilst pounding the pavement sourcing for an interiors job last month.

The job required me to dress a model to compliment a very stylish house. Flannel was a perfect choice as I wanted a relaxed, stylish feel.

When you walk into Flannel you can’t help but want to touch everything as the selection of luxurious fabrics hanging and folded in corners is irresistible. Flannel, the shop, was launched last year and is a melting pot of simple and luxurious clothes from their label and others. It also houses a selection of delicious homewares which include cushions, throws, candles, lights and more.

Flannel, the label, is a new range of sleepwear by WA designer Kristy Lawrence, who was one half of the successful label Empire Rose. After selling her stake in the company Lawrence developed Flannel a range of deluxe sleepwear which is ideal for stylish lazing around the house or casual wear. The cut is masterful, using luxurious fabrics, which are often missing in modern day designs, and finished with a stylish simplicity.

A significant trend overseas and now hitting Perth is the leisurewear style. I’m not talking track suits but natural fabrics, clean cut leisurewear, which is idea for our lifestyle and climate.

Flannel is located at 48 Napoleon St Cottesloe. Tel: +61 8 9286 1161.
