The Duel is based on chapter six from the novel Brothers Karamazov and adapted by highly regarded Australian writer Tom Wright.

The new Principal Conductor Paul Daniel with WASO will perform throughout the season symphonies from the greatest composers - Mahler, Beethoven, Schubert, Elgar and Dvorak as well as introduce thrilling new scores from some of today’s most acclaimed composers such as Julian Anderson, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Thomas Ades, Elena Kats-Chernin and Magnus Lindberg.
Also visiting throughout the season WASO welcomes special conductors and soloists including Simone Young, Sir Andrew Davis, Ewa Kupiec, Isabelle Faust, Lisa Gasteen, Cedric Tiberghien and Jakub Hrusa in his Australian debut.

NAIDOC Week is the annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
The week has already commenced and runs until July 13. There are art exhibitions, theatre, film, storytelling and discussions plus many more activities.

Surreal artist Creepy is current exhibiting at Keith & Lottie in Northbridge.
Describing his work as ‘loosely based on his own human experience, depicted through fictional characters in a world very similar to our own’. His characters are twisted, exaggerated with beasts coated in hair, tattoos and symbols.
Celebrate his works in his first exhibition since 2006 at Keith & Lottie until July 11.
