It’s Cold Up There is designed to engage the viewers in sublime, embodied and beatific works. Digital film artist Kate Faulds produces layered works using synthesized digital video, animation and drawing which are then projected onto multiple surfaces.

Earth from Above is an aerial portrait of our beautiful and inspiring planet. This ambitious project was the brainchild of French photographer
Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the result a thought-provoking, educational and entertaining exhibition.
See the show 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in an open-air exhibition featuring 120 large-scale images.
This show has been proudly supported by principal sponsors, the Western Australian Department of Environment and Conservation and BHP Billiton, Earth from Above aims to stimulate awareness, discussion and ultimately the adoption of more sustainable practices.

THE BOOTH
Popping up all over the festival The Booth is your mobile confession outlet for festival pleads.
Your priest and her video camera are there for you. Confess as many times as you like. Priest Jen Jamieson has been known to weep, be kind, flirtatious, serious and angry but mainly she listens.
Jen Jamieson’s The Booth first appeared in the festival club in 2002. It returns in 2008 as a mobile unit that pops up all over the festival, so get your confessions ready.

LASER TAG
Graffiti has varied views within our community - is it art or vandalism?
Local artist Jerrem Lynch was inspired by new tech graf artist James Powderly’s visit to Perth. Lynch has adapted some of his new technology which you can find in three installations over the festival.

SCHMIGLOO
A giant portable igloo called Schmigloo will become the festival landmark bar. Popping up at various locations over the festival and created by ex-pat Keg de Souza and a team of creatives.

Walk into a public lab for the exhibition Silent Barrage. The night showcases sixty sculptural robotic objects, all responding to electric activity occurring in a living network of rat neurons.
Silent Barrage culminates six years of research by Phil Gamblen and Guy Ben-Ary with the aim to discover the artistic and philosophical implications of an entity made of a ‘living brain’ controlling a robot body.

Breadbox is combining their extreme and eclectic past shows in a Silver Artrage exhibition called Box. One box, over seven years, with one hundred plus exhibitions featuring more than thousand artists. The result a large-scale installation made up of 1000’s of boxes.
